Nonprofit
Organizations See the Vision, Grab the Vision and Mister Artsee teamed up for a
Roy Lichtenstein Art Kit Giveaway for Chicago Teachers

CHICAGO --
See the Vision, Grab the Vision and the OUT OF SIGHT project in collaboration
with nonprofit Mister Artsee was delighted to give away five thousand Roy
Lichtenstein Art Kits and new Scholastic books to Chicago Public School
teachers and cultural workers on Saturday, November 23. The reception in the
local community was overwhelming, with teachers lined up for hours to accept
the donated materials through the Chicago Park District and Creative Chicago
Reuse Exchange (CCRx) for their students just in time for the holidays.

We were thrilled to continue to support arts education initiatives in Chicago through
this giveaway of Art Kits and for the opportunity to motivate the city’s youth
with Pop Art while solidifying our mission to engage, inspire, and empower
through programs that provide transformative arts experiences to young people,”
said Larry Warsh, Executive Director. “See The Vision, Grab The Vision believes
in deep community involvement and we are grateful to our collaboration with
Mister Artsee which enabled us to expand our impact.” Founder and CEO of Mister
ArtSee, artist Elliott Arkin stated “the generosity and importance of this
donation cannot be overstated. It’s simply spectacular. Exploring and learning
creative skills and mental strategies have far reaching and life-long benefits.
I can vouch for that myself.”

See The Vision, Grab The Vision’s inaugural project, OUT OF SIGHT, has enjoyed a dynamic and fruitful partnership with Chicago Park District and it was a pleasure to solidify this partnership and
develop new relationships with local arts educators while increasing their
support for Chicago’s students through this giveaway. This latest initiative in
collaboration with Mister Artsee allowed for an even further reach and the
ability to inspire creativity with thousands of additional youth.

The New York and Chicago-based arts non-profit
has been sponsoring the Chicago Park District’s multi-year OUT OF SIGHT public
program with a mission to promote positivity, aspiration, and visualization to
youth and teens. This past summer, they partnered with CPD Day Camps and hired
local artists to engage with day campers. Additionally, a teen leadership
program was created in order to equip those who desired with experiences and
the tools to become leaders in their communities.

The kits feature the work of famous Pop Artist Roy Lichtenstein and are specially
designed for young artists, ages 8 to 18, with acrylic paint, brushes, colored
pencils, “ben day” dot stencils, art paper and an activity book and softcover
book about the artist.  In addition to
the donation of the Art Kits, valued at $200,000, See the Vision, Grab the
Vision and Mister Artsee also donated Scholastic books in classroom sets in
many subjects for young adult readers.

See The Vision, Grab The Vision 501(c)(3) is
delighted announce that OUT OF SIGHT will grow to 20 parks in 2020 and will
continue provide leadership-building arts education programs year-round both
indoors and outdoors in Chicago Parks.
